Business Analyst (m/f/d)*

Within Business Technology, EXCITE has been established as scalable platform for digital insurance business. It enables the delivery of innovative, digital solutions for Munich Re clients in all geographies – reaching from APIs for scoring of NatCat risks to AI-based assessment of cyber security. We work in a cloud- and web-native technology environment with agile, product centric approaches.

As a Business Analyst, you will be the primary liaison between project teams and their stakeholders in business units, Group functions and/or externally. You’ll elicit requirements, shape business needs, ensuring that the scope is clearly understood and articulated at the project outset. You’ll work with project sponsors and managers throughout projects to ensure that requirements are being met, and that issues are managed proactively.

Your Job

• Working closely with stakeholders to create, identify and shape business ideas where technology can provide a new, transformative approach to an existing business problem
• Engage with relevant business units and their customers to understand market trends and requirements and to instill a “digital first” innovation approach
• Review and update the Business Technology value proposition, its go-to-market approach and the portfolio for BT offerings and capabilities in cooperation with BT’s units in all geographies
• Support the specification of business requirements and translate these into detailed functional specifications
• Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on-budget. Follow project methodologies – MR Essentials – as applicable.
• Effectively communicating plan, status, risks and issues to the stakeholder in a precise and timely manner
• Provide traceability of requirements and subsequent change requests, tracking delivery of those requirements by the project team
• Assist with business testing preparation and execution on project deliverables, ensuring the solution meets business expectations based upon approved project scope
• Create appropriate level of product documentation (required for maintenance and support)
• Several years of business analyst or related experience, ideally within IT or data related projects
• Expertise in digital business models and go-to-market strategies for digital products
• Experience with business development activities incl. market and stakeholder analysis, marketing strategy definition and metrics in technology related business segments
• Ability to work in global and virtual teams with a highly diverse culture
• History of leading and supporting successful projects
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
