Biostatistician for Italy

As part of the upcoming EU Health Technology Assessment (EU HTA), we are seeking a Biostatistician with Italian language skills (level C2). The ideal candidate is an experienced biostatistician or a natural scientist who is ready to expand their expertise beyond established statistical work in clinical research to include epidemiology and/or health economics and the emerging field of HTA.

AMS Advanced Medical Services GmbH is a privately-owned Contract Research Organization (CRO) with over 300 employees and offices in Mannheim, Munich, acting internationally since 1997 in Clinical Research, Medical Science/Benefit dossiers and Marketing & Sales in the medical-pharmaceutical industry. Our Clinical Research services for Phase l-lV studies as well as Non-Interventional Studies include Project Management, Monitoring, Data Management, Biostatistics, Medical Writing, Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety, Quality Assurance, conduction of Audits and support for Regulatory Affairs and submissions. Since 2015 we are actively shaping the EU HTA process in collaboration with our clients and pharma associations and are an established partner to support our clients in preparation and submission of EU HTA dossiers as well as national HTA dossiers.

Your contribution:

• Planning, management and analysis of Non-Interventional studies (NIS) and phase I - IV clinical trials
• Provide input to clinical study protocols/reports related to statistical methodology and develop plans for statistical analysis
• Coordinate statistical activities and communicate within the interdisciplinary project team and with clients
• Consulting and preparation of statistical issues in the field of HTA
• Application of the most efficient or innovative approach in economic modelling, (network) meta-analysis and indirect comparisons, clinical trials and observational research

Your profile (ideally):

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology or equivalent qualification
• Experience in applying statistical or epidemiological methods, health economic modelling and applicable guidelines
• Programming skills in SAS or R
• Very good oral and written communication skills in Italian (level C2) and English
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a Contract Research Organization
• Willingness to take over personal responsibility and to work independently in a timely flexible manner
• Willingness to develop further in the new area of EU-HTA
