Your responsibilities

  1. Originate and develop domestic biomass sourcing and trading opportunities for Uniper’s customers and projects in the UK.
  2. Develop and execute UK domestic sourcing and trading partnerships.
  3. Build and maintain a strong domestic network of biomass suppliers, consumers, logistics partners, and service providers.
  4. Provide strategic, analytical, and commercial support to Uniper’s wide biomass projects.
  5. Manage UK specific sustainability requirements and developments in close cooperation with relevant departments across Uniper.
  6. Formulate and execute a detailed annual biomass business development plan for the UK as part of the overall Uniper biomass strategy.
  7. Produce clear reports on market developments, deal and partnership opportunities, price forecasts, and risks.
  8. Work with the stakeholder teams in the UK to support Government, NGO, and other stakeholder discussions.
  9. Represent Uniper in (inter)national biomass forums and industry events.

Your profile

  1. Strong track record in UK biomass feedstock sourcing and trading.
  2. Outstanding commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  3. Sound financial and commercial awareness and ability to engage with teams.
  4. Experience in structured physical and financial commodity transactions including involvement in standard and non-standard contract terms, counter-party credit requirements, performance assurance, default provisions, delivery provisions, etc.
  5. Experience with master agreements, such as EFET, and also with common sustainability systems like FSC, SBP, GGL, Sure.
  6. Planning and organising skills including effective prioritising and resource management with a long-term strategic focus.
  7. Confident communicator and team player at all levels in the organisation.
  8. Relevant professional qualifications together with broader business understanding.
