Back Office Representative

A Japanese manufacturer based in Munich is currently recruiting a Back Office Representative to join their small team.
In this role, you will be responsible for accounting tasks and providing sales support.
The position is ideal for someone with relevant experience, but candidates who are eager to learn and demonstrate the required competencies are also welcome to apply.
An understanding of Japanese and/or German working culture, as well as some proficiency in Japanese or German, would be an advantage.

WORK TYPE: Hybrid (3 days at office, 2 days working from home)

WORKING HOURS: 8:45-17:45 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: €40-55K depending on experience, plus good benefits

Back Office Representative Main Responsibilities:

1. Accounting
   1. Book-keeping
   2. Checking invoices
   3. Updating payment list
   4. Managing cash
   5. Preparing documents for PL, BS, VAT report
2. Sales Support
   1. Preparing documents such as Quotation / invoice / shipping document
   2. Arranging shipment to customers
   3. Arranging shipment from Japan to our German warehouse
   4. Arranging drop shipment from Japan to Taiwan/Finland/UK
   5. Supporting sales team for organising/attending events and creating sales materials such as product catalogue

Back Office Representative Ideal Candidate:

• Business level of fluency in English
• German language skill is highly advantageous
• Having strong analytical and logical thinking
• Proficient with numerical data
• Having high level of accountability and responsibility
• Being proactive and having solution-oriented mindset
• Being able to handle multi-tasks under a fast-paced environment
• Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
