The three domains of the highest complexity for the market are Software, Functional Safety, and Security. In order to accelerate the migration to the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) and enable early engagement with the automotive OEMs, our strategic objective is to develop system expertise on E/E architecture and SDV.

Role and Responsibilities

This role has a primary objective to setup and lead the global automotive system activities on ADAS for NXP. The position is part of the central System Marketing organization and cooperates closely with the automotive Product lines and the Automotive System engineering to define the Automotive ADAS system strategy of NXP in order to successfully engage with the OEMs. This role will lead the System Track ADAS.

The system marketing leader is interfacing directly with the OEM and the global ecosystem to position NXP portfolio in a system context. This role has a primary objective to create a winning ADAS strategy for NXP. The objective is to build expertise at system level within NXP and to engage with the OEM advanced engineering team to offer support on sub-systems where NXP is building expertise. Such sub-systems are leveraging NXP expertise and portfolio in processing, networking, power distribution, security and safety.

Job Summary

• Setup and lead the automotive System track on ADAS
• Position NXP as the trusted partner for automotive HW and SW solutions for ADAS
• Define and position the future, differentiated system roadmap at the different regional OEMs.
• Deliver system value proposition
• Ensure comprehensive portfolio alignment (system road mapping) toward one ADAS architecture strategy
• Use this early architecture understanding to influence the definition of new NXP products (processors, power management, communication interfaces)
• Engage with OEMs to define POC studies showing the benefits of NXP products – drive development & prototype engagements
• Manage global SW partners in the ADAS domains
• Map the ADAS competitive landscape and create strategy and plan how NXP shall best compete or partner
• Consolidate global OEM engagement opportunities (DW) and ensure the right engagement & follow up
• Engage effectively with OEM to build strong technical and management relationship;
• Collaborate with Sales, BL AES and AA Product Lines, CTO and technical experts to define and implement an overall solution positioning

Core Competencies

• Proven track record in ADAS architecture definition and development
• 15 years+ in defining and positioning solution for automotive market
• Strong experience in Business development and engagement with OEMs and Tier-1s
• Experience in Semiconductors, software and system solutions that enable car architecture evolution
• Strong business and technical acumen, customer focus/ external orientation
• Ability to mobilize resources, align internal stakeholders and lead global partner marketing programs
• Excellent communication and influencing skills – written and verbal
