About our client

Our client is a global venture capital firm with investments in technology companies across the US, Europe, and Israel. Their strategic focus encompasses hardware, software, and services, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, transformation, and sustainability, shaping the landscape of innovation globally.

The team is looking to grow their Munich office with an additional Associate/Senior Associate to invest across Europe. The ideal candidate will bring a top-tier academic background with initial venture experience. Additionally, exceptional interpersonal skills, a flair for connecting with others, strong financial analysis capabilities, and excellent commercial judgment are essential. The firm values a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious approach that aligns with the collaborative spirit of the team.

What the job involves

• Pro-active involvement in deal sourcing and deal flow management
• Due diligence of new ventures, analysis of markets and competitive environments, evaluation and benchmarking of business models
• Performing deep dives into technology areas that could be of interest to the fund and markets to determine future investment thesis
• Active involvement in supporting the current and future portfolio companies on strategic matters and new corporate actions (i.e. add-on acquisitions, future fundraising efforts, etc.)

Who we are looking for

• Top level academic background
• Initial work experience gained in venture capital, investment banking or consulting
• Exceptionally strong commercial and business acumen and interpersonal skills
• Strong commercial and financial analysis skills and excellent commercial judgement
• Dynamic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious approach, consistent with the rest of the team
• Fluency in English is a must
