About our client

Our client is a growing German family office focused on opportunities with a growth perspective in the DACH-region. Its successful investment track record includes well-established medium-sized companies as well as listed companies. To continue their strong track record, the family office is looking to expand their team. As part of the deal team, you will work across the deal cycle from A to Z for add-ons and new portfolio companies. You will support the development of existing and newly acquired portfolio companies on an operational and strategic level and build long-term relationships with the management team.

What the job involves

1. End to end involvement in sourcing and execution of new investments and the exit process of existing portfolio companies e.g. screening of proposals, financial modelling, coordination of process with advisors and management team.
2. Support the development of portfolio companies in operational and strategic matters incl. market and competitor analysis, portfolio analysis, business development, KPI and milestone-tracking.
3. Hands-on support of portfolio companies for their value creation roadmap and continuous business monitoring.
4. Discussions with management teams of portfolio companies, advisors and team members on current projects and improvement potential.

Who we are looking for

1. Initial experience with a strong strategic and analytical background, from either a private equity family office, an investment bank, a top-tier consulting firm or Big 4.
2. Strong financial modelling and valuation skills and commercial judgement with a passion for detail while not losing the big picture.
3. Knowledge and experience of M&A projects.
4. Advanced interpersonal skills and a style that is effective with respect to medium-sized business owners and managers.
5. High-energy team player with high degree of commitment and comfortable in a flat organizational structure while seeking early responsibility and eager to develop a career in private equity.
6. Native level German and fluent English language skills are required.
