To support the local Head of Finance in ensuring accuracy, integrity and regulatory compliance of the financial reporting, through effective oversight of financial controls, including Trial Balance preparation, month-end close and regulatory reporting.

Support the legal entity control function to ensure that books and records are maintained in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.

Ensure the integrity of the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss through effective control processes.

Oversee the month-end financial close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsible for other financial control tasks to support the wider financial control function.

Understand the local regulatory reporting requirements.

Correspond with the regulator on Financial Control and Reporting issues where appropriate.

What will you do?

Maintain and continuously enhance the Financial Reporting Control framework in line with German regulatory and compliance standards.

Lead the month-end financial close, including the preparation of the Trial Balance (TB).

Coordinate the drafting and completion of the annual report (German GAAP).

Contribute to business-as-usual and strategic projects to improve financial processes and reporting quality.

Support cross-functional initiatives to enhance financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Reporting

Deliver reporting packs for governance bodies, including the Finance & Tax Committee and Management Board.

Responsible for understanding local regulatory reporting requirements and facilitation of reporting delivery.

Monitor and implement updates to local regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring full compliance.

Audit

Coordinate internal and external audit preparation and responses.

Provide clear, well-documented financial data and analysis to meet audit requirements in line with German standards.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Fluency in written and spoken German is mandatory, with strong business communication skills.

Proficiency in English to coordinate effectively across international teams.

Team player with strong communication skills who thrives in an international and diverse environment.

Good understanding of accounting under IFRS and German GAAP.

Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

Ability to manage projects and drive change.

A self-starter with ability to work on own initiative.

Attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Accounting experience, either in a similar role within the financial services industry or as an auditor in the financial services sector.

Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, coupled with a motivation to deepen existing knowledge.

Strong academic background.
