Your Responsibilities
As an Associate Director / Director Business Development you will be part of the Global Business Development Team which is placed across Europe and the USA. You will be reporting directly to the Global Head of Business Development and will be part of a team with flat hierarchies and multidisciplinary skills and backgrounds.
You will be having the following responsibilities:
Establish and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders within an assigned client portfolio of pharma and biotech companies
Develop and grow the business with existing and new customers across the three service pillars of CENTOGENE's Pharma Segment (Sponsored Testing, Data Business, Real World Evidence)
Develop your own Territory and contribute to the Go-To-Market Strategy.
Own the full sales process from Lead Identification, Proposal Generation to Contract Negotiation. The Business Operations Team will support your efforts as required.
Coordinate with several departments including the R&D, Product Management and Lab operational teams to design the most competitive offering for each potential pharma partner across the spectrum of rare and neurodegenerative diseases and ensure compliance with related internal guidelines.
Analyze market, industry and technology trends and incorporate them into a comprehensive business strategy that enhances CENTOGENE’s capabilities and contributes to growth
Communicate deal funnel and forecast business for newly identified programs on a regular basis to the management team
The ideal profile has a proven track record in Business Development and has experiences in the Diagnostic Industry, relevant CRO background or Real World Data providers.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred in a scientific discipline with MSc, MBA or PhD highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 plus years of Business Development experience
Excellent business development skills in the pharmaceutical area, especially in the rare disease environment
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Means to work independently, oriented towards performance and results
Solid grasp of scientific and medical concepts and procedures
Ability to navigate within a matrix structure and a multidisciplinary environment.
Excellent aptitude for leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Travel Requirements: 20%
