For our Application-Team in Krefeld we are looking for a Application Engineer (m/f/d) – Industrial Gas Applications with reference number 09/2025.

Responsibilities:

• Business development and application technology projects expansion in collaboration with industry partners and Messer subsidiaries.
• Conduct market and customer process analyses to evaluate new business possibilities in the field of plastics and rubber recycling, manufacturing processes in polymer products (film/foam extrusion, molding, shaping, purifying, grinding) for industrial gases.
• Supporting and executing technical gas application projects and field trials in the above-mentioned industries.
• Discover, maintain and nurture relationships with technology partners, network partners and Messer subsidiaries.
• Following market developments and trends by participating in exhibitions, symposiums and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Degree in mechanical process engineering or chemical engineering with training or experience in process and/or manufacturing environment (m/f/d).
• Experience in at least one of the above-mentioned industrial processes or polymer technology knowledge is preferred.
• Professional experience in the field of inert gases or high-pressure gases use in the industrial sector whether sales or project execution is an advantage.
• Manual dexterity and safe handling of machines and systems.
• Good written and spoken German and business fluent English skills.
• Willingness to travel (approx. 30-40%).
• Methodical and proactive way of working.
