In addition to the core market of wind industry, Nidec SSB is also active in the fields of electrical charging infrastructure for e-mobility, battery-electric storage systems (BESS) and power electronics for hydrogen electrolysers. For our German location in Salzbergen or Hennef we are looking for a new member of our team: Application Engineer (m/f/d).

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. You support the sales department in the preparation of quotations by clarifying technical questions and the project planning of drive components.
2. Analysis and realization of customer applications with creation and commissioning of drive solutions.
3. Software maintenance and development of drive-related software (CoDeSys).
4. Technical customer support for key customers on the phone (remote) and on site.
5. Supporting the sales field service by creating argumentation aids and application consulting for customers.
6. Support of the engineering team in the dimensioning of HW components.
7. Creation of technical information, project planning instructions and application documentation.
8. Providing technical support to the service team and carrying out service calls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. You have a degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on drive and/or control technology.
2. Knowledge in the field of drive technology.
3. Knowledge of automation and hardware engineering for control systems.
4. Knowledge of ECAD, preferably EPLAN, and functional safety is desirable.
5. Your German skills are at level and you also have a good command of English.
