Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)

1. Perform the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance with a primary expertise as a UH-60, CH-47 or AH-64 mechanic, including repair functions such as assembly and modification on a variety of Army and other DoD cross-service aircraft.
2. Install, connect, and adjust complete systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission.
3. Install and align fuselage parts; balance, align, and install tail rotor assemblies; rig complete flight control systems.
4. Incorporate authorized modifications and changes.
5. Make operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and powered ground equipment.
6. Inspect and troubleshoot to determine cause of malfunctions; disassemble to point of trouble; adjust, repair, realign or replace defective components or assemblies.
7. Properly use a variety of common hand tools and measuring devices such as gauges, torque wrenches, and scales.
8. Determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair or replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
9. Read, apply, and interpret technical data.
10. Direct the work of lower-graded mechanics for complete assembly, modification and checkout of the entire aircraft.
11. Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Graduate or equivalent.
2. Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
3. License: FAA A&P or FCC (Elements 1 and 3) is required.
4. A Valid FAA A&P with a minimum of Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, and Two (2) years on the assigned MDS ( UH-60, CH-47 or AH-64).
5. All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
6. If No A&P, must possess an FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 and Three (3) years Aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and two (2) years on the assigned UH-60A, CH-47 or AH-64 Mission Design Series (MDS).
7. Valid US Passport is Required for travel to Germany.
8. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization (NAC-I T1) Public Trust. US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
9. Germany Specific- TESA Approval: Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.

Knowledge & Skills

1. Good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified, and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft systems.
2. Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles.
3. Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

1. Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
2. Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
3. Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
4. Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
