Would you like to take on a role that acts as an important interface between our product and finance departments? Then we have the perfect position for you! In this role, you will work in the Finance team closely with the teams from Accounting and Product Owners. You will have the opportunity to work in a ‘greenfield’ environment and create something new, especially when it comes to legacy systems. Your task will be to set standards for the future. However, this role requires the ability to create things from scratch, design complex processes, and develop a deep understanding of the payments industry.

Your Tasks

• You are the driving force behind the implementation and monitoring of new processes, creating financial operations that are not only more efficient but also more precise.
• You handle regulations with care and ensure that we consistently meet the highest compliance standards — because you understand that integrity in the financial world is everything.
• You enjoy collaborating with our auditors, steering audit processes, and ensuring that everything remains “audit-proof” in the best sense.
• You are our data flow maestro: you keep track of complex data streams and tool usage, finding creative ways to balance demands with their practical application.
• Your reports are not just numerical frameworks but crucial decision-making tools that guide our management.
• You think outside the box, creating process diagrams, managing our billing tools with creativity, and keeping a watchful eye on tax matters.
• As the "cashpoint" of the accounting department, you are not just a contact person, but also someone who, with empathy and finesse, holds all the financial threads together.

Your Experience

• You hold a degree in accounting/finance, business administration, business informatics, or a comparable qualification that forms the basis of your expertise.
• You bring several years of professional experience in process management, complemented by your knowledge in accounting, controlling, or a similar field (experience in an auditing firm is a plus!).
• You have a good understanding of HGB/IFRS standards. With your background in this area, you bring extensive experience in preparing financial statements and ensuring their compliance and accuracy.
• You have practical experience with ERP systems like SAP, enabling you to optimize and streamline financial processes.
• You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills, allowing you to interpret complex data and develop strategic solutions.
• You have excellent communication skills in German and English and are a team player with a heart in the right place.
• You are eager to work in an international startup environment with open-minded, creative people on innovative projects.
