About the role:

We are looking for a proactive and open-minded Accountant to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term basis. If you are a reliable, solution-focused individual with strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills, this could be the role for you.

You will be responsible for meeting BSI Group requirements and actively contributing to the management and development of the BSI business by supporting the Europe Finance Team, carrying out a full range of financial and Accounts Payable tasks, along with Financial Admin & Accounting Management.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your previous finance experience and local legislation knowledge within a collaborative and multi-cultural environment. Responsibilities:

• Support the Financial Controller in month/quarter/year end reporting and Finance audits
• Accounts Payable: Control and verification of accounting documents and payment run checks
• Clarification and reconciliation of accounts
• Reliable business partner for other departments and contact for national and international clients

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Previous experience within financial accounting, including accounts payable/receivable
• Language skills in German & English, written and spoken
• Ability to work autonomously in a demanding environment during peak seasons
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, with use of pivot tables)
• Experience of using SAP or other ERP systems is desirable
• Audit experience would be beneficial
