Your mission

1. Oversee the entire general ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with German GAAP.
2. Conduct regular account reconciliations and analyses to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with German GAAP.
4. Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to legal regulations and accounting policies.
5. Ensure that payroll is processed in time by an outsourced accounting company, ensuring timely payment to employees.
6. Document and enhance existing accounting processes to streamline workflows and drive efficiencies.
7. Support the preparation of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
8. Respond to inquiries from management and external auditors as needed.

Your profile

1. Degree in business administration with a focus on accounting and/or commercial education with further training as an accountant (m/f/x) (IHK).
2. 2-3 years experience in accounting, ideally in the technology sector or in SaaS-based business models.
3. Very good understanding of German GAAP.
4. A completed training as a payroll accountant (m/f/x) (IHK) would be a plus.
5. Profound knowledge in working with Excel as well as with accounting systems such as DATEV and Business Central.
6. Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, structured and precise way of working.
7. Fluent communication skills in German and English.
