The Account Manager will be a part of the German sales team and will report to the Regional Sales Manager for North Germany. He will be responsible to exceed the organization's sales goals and deliver on commercial strategies in his territory. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin
  2. Own and meet the revenue targets in designated sales territory and accounts
  3. Promote the full LBS product and services portfolio through customer visits, relationship building, and networking
  4. Establish professional relationships with key contacts in customer accounts
  5. Develop account-based sales plans and strategies in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager and broader team to grow the sales funnel within the territory, based on a deep understanding of customer short and long-term needs
  6. Proactively research and identify potential new customers in line with strategic directives to generate sales and expand the Leica Biosystems customer base
  7. Proactively manage existing sales funnel in the CRM System SFDC
  8. Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies
  9. Own tender projects within the defined territory
  10. Provide timely and accurate forecasts for orders and sales

The essential requirements of the job include:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Relevant and demonstrable sales/account management experience with a clinical and/or life science environment
  3. Proven record of successful selling and exceeding targets
  4. Ability to drive business success through managing customer needs, demonstrating consistent and impressive drive to bring change in support of growth over a period of time
  5. Build constructive and effective relationships both inside and outside the organization
  6. Language: German and English
  7. Travel: Must be willing to travel within their defined territory up to 60% of their time
