A Japanese manufacturer in Amstelveen is looking for an Account Manager / Business Development Manager. You will oversee mainly supporting their existing clients and a part of developing new clients in the cosmetic industry in the Netherlands.
The role will require business level English, and business trips approximately once a month.

€60-70k per annum + performance-based bonus, depending on experience

Main Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support for the customer
- Calls on the customer to take supply orders and introduce them to new products
- Provides timely Customer Visit Report, including meeting summary and analysis of customer specific Sales Strategy
- Completes Monthly Report of activity and results, utilizing company provided template
- Communicates with the CEO, Vice President, Research & Development and other colleagues to stay current on all product information, trends and customer needs
- Uses Exact Online to update all relevant customer account information, along with maintaining schedule in the calendar
- Travels as needed each month, maintains and submits expenses in a timely way for accounting purposes, and automobile log where applicable
- Abide by the MCLS Europe pricing policies (i.e. payment condition, delivery term)
- Assist in moving designated inventory when needed
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2-3 years sales or related job experience in industries such as cosmetic, chemical, ingredients, and nutrition industry
- Excellent organizational and communication skills a must
- Exceptional computer skills (extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and using the Internet)
- Must be able to travel to call accounts on an as needed basis
- An excellent command of English, both verbal and written
- Any other language skills are a plus (Dutch, Japanese, German, French etc.)
