Your role and responsibilities
Are you ready for exciting projects that boost performance and support a sustainable future? Then our ABB Trainee Program is just right for you! Through a practice-oriented introductory program, you will gain self-confidence and learn to work independently and as part of a team. We promote your professional development with targeted training and personal support. During the 18-month trainee program, you will pass through three stations in Germany and abroad, starting in the Controlling department. Additional experience in marketing, industrialization or supply chain as well as a six-month assignment abroad round off the programme.
- Gain valuable insights into the processes of an international company through three six-month assignments within 18 months and discover your interests in different areas of responsibility.
- Benefit from tailored training, professional mentoring and support from the Discovery Program team as you make key executive connections.
- Build a strong network at ABB, participate in social events and team activities, and develop your strengths through regular feedback as part of the ABB Discovery Trainee Community.
- Participate in the operational business by contributing to financial topics.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reporting by determining the actual result and preparing the balance sheet and income statement.
- Review and maintain automatic postings as well as accrual, expense and adjustment accounts for complete and accurate mapping of financial data.
- Create and analyze key performance indicators such as budget, forecast, cost centers and operating cash flow and contribute to management decision making with performance reviews.
Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or business administration with a focus on finance or controlling.
- Ideally internships / working student activities in controlling.
- Initial international experience as part of an internship / semester abroad is an advantage.
- Clear hands-on mentality with the self-image to tackle and implement topics.
- Personally, you are a team player and impress with your commitment, communication skills and customer orientation.
- Enjoy working in an international environment and intercultural exchange with colleagues.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
