3 PhD Positions: Local Labor Struggles in Global Value Chains, University of Bonn, Germany

Call for applications for three PhD positions in the research group “Local Labor Struggles in Global Value Chains” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) at the University of Bonn starting July 1, 2025.

The project examines local labor struggles in global value chains with a focus on the agricultural sector. The positions are fully funded for three years (with the possibility of a one-year extension) and include funding for fieldwork (~7 months), conferences, and workshops.
