The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. In partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Division of Information Technology aims to align technology solutions with the DOHMH mission by prioritizing resource use and deploying innovations that enhance staff productivity and efficiency.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) is seeking a Project Manager to manage large-scale, complex, enterprise-wide projects on time and on budget. This role relies on project management experience, technical experience, and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsibilities include:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage disease surveillance project initiatives to meet quality standards and deadlines.
  2. Oversee the Business Analysis process, conducting workshops to elicit information regarding needs and requirements.
  3. Develop project schedules and rollout plans, overseeing deployment into production.
  4. Execute projects and enhancements from start to finish.
  5. Triage issues and manage production support.
  6. Report project status to stakeholders and executive management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
  2. Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex information.
  5. Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation, including SQL.
  6. Desire to grow professionally and develop new skills.
  7. Experience working in the public health sector with multiple stakeholders.
  8. Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  10. Knowledge of .NET applications, Rhapsody, SQL Server, and HL7 is required.

SALARY

Salary range is $90,000 to $125,000.

WORK SCHEDULE

9 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday, In-Office

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

You must live in the New York City Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) to be considered for a position at FPHNYC.
