Description
Circuit Stream is a leader in future skills training and learning content. We offer world-class educational services for teen and adult learners with a focus on the skills needed to leverage emerging technology.
We are seeking passionate Game Designers with a deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and game design principles to instruct our Game Design with Unreal Engine courses for learners aged 13-18 offered both in-person at campuses in Canada, and also Online (via Zoom)! Students will be learning the key concepts of game design and prototyping using industry-standard tools and processes. Learners will acquire the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to create their own games using Unreal Engine and Blueprints.
Our Game Design with Unreal Engine teen courses will be offered at multiple times in the formats and locations below (subject to enrollments). Please indicate your availability and location as part of this application process. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to teach during the day (8am - 3pm PT) in July and August, both in-person and online.

Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following the Game Design with Unreal Engine course curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they ideate, develop, and iterate on their 3rd Person Platformer Game project.
- Showcase proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, visual scripting with Blueprints, version control systems like Git, and game design concepts.
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field.
- Grade assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.
Requirements
- Availability to teach during the day (between the hours of 8am to 3pm PT) in Summer 2025.
- Industry experience as a game designer at a game studio or tech or entertainment company utilizing Unreal Engine.
- Strong foundation in Unreal Launcher, Unreal Engine 5.2, Figma and game design fundamentals.
- Bachelor's degree or final year studies in Computer Science, or graduate of Circuit Stream Game Design Bootcamp or similar programs.
- Previous experience teaching coding to kids/teens or experience as a teaching assistant for university or college level courses.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
- A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
