A leading college in Alberta seeks a Manager for their Smart Farm to oversee agricultural production across 3,600 acres. This permanent, full-time position involves strategic leadership, team management, financial oversight, and maintaining industry relations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mixed farming operations and agricultural technologies, ensuring efficiency and sustainability. The Smart Farm Manager is responsible for planning, operating, and managing the agricultural production activities on a 3,300‑acre mixed crops and livestock enterprise in two provinces (Alberta and Saskatchewan). The Manager provides leadership that fosters the implementation of leading‑edge farm production practices and technologies. The role contributes to the College's success by ensuring a high degree of collaboration with academic departments, research teams, and external stakeholders, focusing on profitability, productivity, and sustainability.
