Your Role:
The Head of Business Development is responsible for driving the growth and success of applications, developing impactful business to business partnerships, and establishing strategic capital relationships on Flare or using Flare’s protocols. This high impact role will own the department, leading the BD team by developing strategy and managing execution focused on expanding Flare’s ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Lead Strategy: Define and articulate a comprehensive, flexible growth strategy for all items owned by the BD team including key partnerships, and capital growth.
- Execute with a Hands-On Approach: Drive execution with the Business Development team to ensure consistent progress and tangible results.
- Manage Team Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Business Development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Departmental Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to coordinate the launch and ongoing development of Flare’s protocols, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Ecosystem Growth: Collaborate with the product, developer relations, and investment teams to define grants and plan hackathons, fostering teamwork and innovation within the Flare ecosystem.
- Public Representation: Represent Flare at industry events, conferences, and meetups.
- Relationship Management: Build, manage, and retain strategic relationships with partners, investors, and other key stakeholders to support Flare’s long-term growth objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Passion for Crypto and Blockchain: A deep interest in blockchain technology and the Web3 ecosystem is essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 + years in business development roles, ideally within Web3, Web2, or finance sectors. Managerial or higher experience in BD/sales departments of a Top 100 CMC network, preferably with large Asian market presence.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics (preferred).
- Flexibility: Able to work overlapping hours with teams based in the UAE and USA.
- Travel-Ready: Willingness to travel extensively for business meetings, conferences, and events
