We are looking for a talented and passionate Visual Merchandiser to join our team in our consumer division. The visual merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring that the shelves of a retail store are stocked with products and displays them accordingly for customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Handle the marketing of the brand including the events & POS. Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs to exceed customer’s expectations. Responsible for customer assistance, cash register operation, sales/monetary transactions, and opening/closing procedures.
2. Maintain positive customer and employee relations; respect co-workers, handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution, and report unresolved complaints immediately to the line manager.
3. Analyze business results and apply knowledge in linking commercial and visual aspects of the brand. Strategize the display for controlling seasonal sell-through & increasing sales. Continuously monitor visual guidelines to ensure visual standards are maintained.
4. Frequently change displays in accordance with the season, market trends, and festivities. Assist with tidying up or arranging merchandise and housekeeping tasks to ensure a neat, clean, and safe working environment.
5. Use proper handling techniques and equipment to ensure safe handling of merchandise.
6. Follow store policies and procedures as well as general company policies.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field OR Equivalent Experience.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience at Premium brands.
3. Expertise in the consumer field.
4. English communication skills are a must.
5. Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
6. The candidate should be presentable, ambitious, active, and flexible.

1. Aesthetic Vision: The ability to conceptualize and create visually appealing displays that align with the store's brand, season, and target customer.
2. Color Theory: Understanding how to combine colors in ways that are attractive and effective for attracting customer attention.
3. Interior Design: Knowledge of how to arrange space and objects within a store to create a flow that enhances the shopping experience.

2. Attention to Detail

1. Ensuring that all elements of a display are neat, aligned, and visually balanced. Small details like lighting, product placement, and props matter greatly in visual merchandising.

3. Knowledge of Retail Trends

1. Keeping up-to-date with the latest fashion, design, and retail trends to ensure displays are fresh and relevant.
2. Understanding seasonal shifts in style and how they influence customer behavior.

4. Product Knowledge

1. Familiarity with the products being sold, including features, uses, and appeal, to best showcase them in displays.
2. The ability to highlight product benefits effectively through strategic placement and visual storytelling.

5. Spatial Awareness

1. The ability to assess the space available and design layouts that make the most of that space without overcrowding or underusing it.
2. Skill in creating focal points that guide the customer's attention and optimize traffic flow within the store.

6. Communication Skills

1. Strong verbal and written communication for collaborating with store managers, design teams, and other departments.
2. Ability to communicate creative concepts clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.

7. Sales Awareness

1. Understanding how visual merchandising can directly influence sales and shopper behavior.
2. Ability to create displays that target specific customer demographics and push products that are on promotion or new arrivals.
