Roles and Responsibilities
The Technical Product Lead is responsible for the development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise websites with a strong focus on web technologies, integrations, middleware, and API development. This role requires collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large-scale web projects and API-driven architectures, delivering innovative and robust digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap:
- Define and manage the product strategy and roadmap for enterprise websites, with a focus on seamless integration between internal systems, third-party services, and APIs.
- Ensure alignment with digital transformation initiatives and business goals.
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, user feedback, and market trends.
- Website Development & Optimization:
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise websites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Work closely with UI/UX teams to optimize the user experience across devices and browsers.
- Manage content management systems (CMS) and ensure middleware solutions are efficiently integrated.
- Integration & Middleware Management:
- Lead the development and implementation of API-driven architectures to integrate business systems such as CRM, ERP, and eCommerce platforms with the website.
- Collaborate with middleware and integration teams to ensure APIs are secure, well-designed, and maintainable.
- Manage integrations with third-party services (payment gateways, marketing platforms, analytics tools).
- API Lifecycle Management:
- Ensure APIs are scalable, well-documented, and maintain high performance standards.
- Work with developers and architects to implement API standards and governance practices.
- Monitor API usage, performance, and error rates, identifying areas for improvement to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT, marketing, sales, operations) to ensure website features and integrations align with business objectives.
- Work with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure robust deployment pipelines, continuous integration, and system reliability.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure the successful delivery of digital products.
- Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure that enterprise websites and integrations comply with data privacy, security, and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Mitigate risks related to system downtimes or integration failures.
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies:
- Stay updated with the latest digital trends, technologies, and innovations in website development, API management, and cloud services.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies, such as AI-driven personalization, machine learning, and advanced analytics, to enhance the user experience and operational efficiency.
- Drive innovation by experimenting with emerging tools and technologies to stay ahead in the digital landscape.
- Vendor & Partnership Management:
- Develop strong relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing partnerships to optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of digital products.
- Ensure that vendor-provided solutions are aligned with the company’s long-term strategic goals and technical requirements.
- Lead vendor evaluations and RFP processes when selecting new tools or services.
- Scalability & Future-Proofing:
- Proactively design and implement scalable architectures for websites, middleware, and APIs to accommodate future growth in traffic, users, and features.
- Ensure digital platforms are designed for easy expansion, considering global markets, multilingual support, and other localization needs.
- Future-proof digital infrastructure to ensure that it remains adaptable to evolving business needs and technological advancements.
- Customer-Centric Focus:
- Work closely with customer experience and marketing teams to ensure that digital solutions are built with a customer-centric approach, delivering personalized and seamless user experiences.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback, behavior, and pain points to continuously improve website features, functionality, and performance.
- Agile Methodology & Continuous Improvement:
- Champion Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) in product development processes, ensuring continuous delivery, quick iterations, and responsiveness to market changes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly assessing development workflows, tools, and performance to drive efficiencies and reduce time to market.
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos to ensure that project timelines and goals are met efficiently.
- Customer & Market Insight:
- Strong understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape in the digital space, enabling the development of products that address both business goals and customer needs.
- Ability to conduct market research and leverage customer insights to guide product development, ensuring products remain competitive and relevant.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum, etc.) would be advantageous.
