A prestigious educational institution in the UAE seeks a dedicated professional to teach foundational undergraduate psychology courses, develop course materials, and provide academic advising. The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, demonstrating university-level teaching experience and a commitment to student success. Responsibilities include participation in curriculum review and contributing to departmental service, ensuring high-quality teaching and support for students in a multicultural setting.
Teach foundational undergraduate psychology courses as assigned. Develop, prepare and deliver course materials, assessments and examinations, ensuring quality teaching practices and application of best practices in higher education. Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students in the psychology programme. Participate in curriculum review, course development, and continuous improvement of the psychology programme. Employ instructional technologies (e-learning platforms, blended/hybrid teaching, learning management systems). Contribute to departmental, college and university service, including committees, student events, outreach, and community engagement. Engage in professional development activities in teaching excellence and the field of psychology to maintain currency in pedagogy and discipline. Collaborate with colleagues across departments for interdisciplinary teaching and integration of psychological perspectives in broader programmes. Support the department’s mission to enhance student learning, promote ethical and culturally-responsive practice, and uphold university standards.
