JOB SUMMARY
The Information Technology Program Manager will have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading and driving a broad array of strategies and project implementations. This position is responsible for ensuring that appropriate project plans are developed, scope and deliverables defined, resources secured, and expectations set, and that system implementation is conducted with minimal impacts to end-users and all required support activities have been accomplished. Primarily, this role will demonstrate excellence in strategic thinking and leadership and be able to influence with authority.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Program Manager will encompass 5 key pillars to align to the strategy of the IT PMO:
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and across levels of management. Active engagement champion within the IT PMO team and also throughout the organization. Leads and owns key strategic initiatives, delivering value across the IT Organization. Assists with the development, implementation, communication, and promotion of strategic tactical plans. Develops recommendations and content for project presentations/reports to CCAD Senior Executives. Provides mentorship to the IT organization. Participates in programs relating to performance evaluations and career development planning. Raises IT PMO visibility through involvement in local industry organizations.
Management:
Ability to lead and manage multiple large-scale programs. Responsible for line management of IT PMO Analysts. Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Galvanizes business opportunities leading them into business transformation initiatives. Complies with, enforces, and develops standard policies and procedures. Provides accurate, timely information to the PMO Director related to program status. Monitors resource utilization through demand management. Establishes and monitors department quality objectives, milestones, and benchmarks. Central contact for best practice (e.g., Project Management methodology, Policies & Procedures, etc.).
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems, or other related degree is required.
Experience:
Certification and Licensure:
Project management certification (PMI or equivalent) is required.
