Location
Our Cloud Architect - GCP/GKE will be an integral part of our Customer Reliability Engineering team in North America. This role is based remotely in North America with a high preference for West Coast or Central timezones (PST/MST/CST).

Responsibilities
- Engineer, develop, and troubleshoot large production-grade distributed systems on Google Cloud Platform, and select the appropriate tools to tackle business problems at the right scale.
- Design, build and test cloud native applications on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and specifically on Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of cloud related technologies, and can articulate best practice approaches and practices.
- GKE Workload Management and optimization.
- Logging and Monitoring GKE via Stackdriver or other Container monitoring solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience in cloud and container solutions such as k8s, GKE and Anthos.
- Experience in deploying GKE Private/Public Clusters with deployment best practices.
- Google IAM / RBAC / Workload Identity for Kubernetes and GKE.
- GKE nodes Label/Tag strategy and appropriate label instances (key-value pairs) to support all asset management objectives.
- Cluster and Pod Security and Policies.
- Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes.
- Experience with Deployment Manager / Terraform / Other to deploy/manage GKE / Anthos (Infra as Code).
- Experience collaborating with developers and platform engineers, contributing to architecture and continuously optimizing infrastructure to remove bottlenecks and improve automation.
- A scripting background with shell scripts and one or more of the following: Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
