A leading architecture and engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to ensure compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards. Qualifications

KN International is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards onsite conducting safety inspections and promoting a strong safety culture among all project stakeholders.
- Implement HSE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements in line with company and industry standards.
- Monitor HSE performance and recommend corrective actions to improve workplace safety.
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments and risk evaluations ensuring compliance with approved safety measures.
- Collaborate with Safety Managers and Contractors to implement HSE best practices and address safety concerns.
- Review Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments and work method statements for all critical activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks, HSE briefings and safety training sessions to reinforce safe work practices.
- Oversee and enforce the Permit-to-Work system, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Participate in incident/accident investigations, prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE statistics, safety reports and compliance documentation.
- Assist in conducting emergency response drills and ensuring preparedness for workplace hazards.
- Technical Diploma or equivalent as a minimum requirement.
- Diploma in Health & Safety Management or equivalent certification.
- Recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHAD, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification, First Aid, Fire Safety or other UAE-approved training.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE roles within infrastructure and sewerage projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, risk management practices and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with project teams.
- Previous TAQA Water Solutions (SWS/ADSSC) approval is preferred.
