General Manager Luxury Retail

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for a general manager to join this luxury brand and manage the merchandise, operational, and marketing functions to ensure they provide a luxury retail experience. You will be responsible for developing the business and its strategies, focusing on financial and operational goals.

The Role:

1. Play a critical role in ensuring the business performs to expectations and within budget.
2. Drive business development and expansion strategies to strengthen the company's market position.
3. Provide effective leadership and oversight of business operations to ensure the smooth operation of all departments in compliance with the company's direction and legal requirements.
4. Drive team adherence to development and production timelines.
5. Be responsible for launching new products in a timely and effective manner.
6. Hire and train management staff to execute the business plan and maintain the Company's standards.
7. Work with the Creative Director to develop effective marketing strategies to establish and grow brand awareness and consequently boost sales.

Skills:

1. University degree, preferably majoring in Business or related disciplines.
2. MBA (desirable).
3. Vast experience in a senior management capacity, preferably in luxury fashion.
4. Demonstrated leadership and project management capability.
5. Experience as a business start-up leader or as a senior sales leader for key businesses.
6. A thorough background in retail dynamics, preferably in high-end fashion goods.
7. Depth of experience in financial management; P&L, Capex and Opex monitoring.
8. Commercial Management: Devising and development of brand guidelines.
