Mission:

To create an organizational structure that is most suitable for the effective and efficient operations of the Jet Park workshop. To develop a highly skilled motivated team that is focused on quality and efficiency. To develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures that are in line with Total Quality Management and Continuous improvement principles. To promote a safe working environment through enhanced awareness and compliance with all applicable Epiroc safety standards and SHEQ regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Work safely within a workshop environment
2. Adherence to SHEQ policies and procedure
3. Service, maintenance, and repair on Epiroc's new and used equipment
4. Carry out modifications and software updates on batteries and chargers
5. Component rebuilds and repairs
6. Carry out high-level repairs on batteries
7. Fault finding and problem-solving
8. Ability to work well with others in a team
9. Carry out service, troubleshooting, and repairs as per OEM standards and requirements
10. Compile service and failure reports
11. Completing warranty and upgrade claims
12. Timekeeping and tracking of labour
13. Keep record of all repairs
14. Communication to product manager
15. Completing Pre-delivery inspections and tests for new batteries and chargers

Required Skills and Capabilities:

1. Mining equipment (surface and underground) product knowledge and experience
2. Grade 12 or equivalent with a Trade qualification (Millwright)
3. Strong problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
4. Ability to perform assigned duties under pressure
5. Read and understand schematics, including knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems
6. Commitment to providing quality customer service
7. Advanced report writing skills
8. Specialized expertise, ingenuity, and pride in solving technical problems
9. Drive, determination, self-discipline
10. Accountability and dedication to maintaining standards of quality and accuracy
11. Values integrity and engenders trust
12. Must have intermediate to advanced skills in using Microsoft tools
13. To perform mechanical or electrical repairs and execute according to the company specifications and standards

Behaviours:

1. Technical knowledge of mining and exploration equipment such as underground and surface mining equipment
2. Skill to troubleshoot and repair Epiroc Rig Control Systems would be advantageous
3. Experience in Customer Service and good interpersonal skills
4. Advanced skills to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
5. Good planning and organizational skills
6. Ability to work according to safe work procedures and machine specifications
7. Component rebuilds and repairs
8. Adherence to SHEQ policies and procedure
9. Valid driver's license
10. Willing to rotate shifts and work standby with team members
11. Needs to be computer literate
