Workshop Technician

This is a full-time on-site Workshop Technician role located in Port Elizabeth. The Workshop Technician will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a diverse fleet of equipment, including Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Mini Cranes, forklifts, and Telehandlers. Daily tasks will include equipment inspections, repairs, and ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.

1. Technical skills in servicing and maintaining equipment
2. Experience with Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, and Telehandlers
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
4. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
5. Excellent attention to detail
6. Ability to work independently and in a team
7. Strong communication skills
8. Health and safety certifications are a plus
9. Grade 12/N3
10. Trade qualification as Millwright/Auto Electrician or Red Seal Qualified as a Technician

1. 3 years’ experience Post Qualification - Maintenance and repairs on MEWP or Material Handling Equipment
2. 2 years’ experience in technical field services, maintenance, and repairs

1. Knowledge of work of height machinery and equipment advantageous.
2. Industry specific knowledge i.e., mining, construction, light & heavy industrial.
3. OSHAS and safety industry regulations.
4. Mechanical, hydraulic, electric, and electronic tooling knowledge.
5. Knowledge of mechanical inspections, tools, and analyzers.
