A leading automotive dealership in Sandton is looking for an experienced and detail-driven Workshop Controller / Production Planner to join their aftersales team.

About the Role :

As the Workshop Controller / Production Planner, you'll be responsible for coordinating workshop operations, managing technician productivity, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the day.

You will play a key role in ensuring that customer vehicles are repaired on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Allocate work to technicians according to skillset and availability
2. Monitor workshop loading and manage daily production targets
3. Ensure timely completion of repair and service jobs
4. Communicate job progress and timelines to Service Advisors
5. Coordinate parts availability with the parts department
6. Maintain high standards of quality control and safety
7. Drive efficiency, productivity, and turnaround time

Requirements :

1. 3+ years' experience in a Workshop Controller / Production Planner role (automotive industry)
2. Strong understanding of workshop processes and technician management
3. Excellent communication and organisational skills
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
5. Experience with dealership systems (e.g., Kerridge, Automate, etc.)
