Wire Cutter

Basic Requirements

1. Formal Tertiary education:
2. Grade 12
3. Trade Tested: Toolmaker/Fitter & Turner
4. Experience:
5. 2 - 5 Years after Qualified within the machining / tool making environment
6. Wire cutting experience essential.
7. Computer literate
8. Languages: English - Read, write and speak (required)
9. Drivers Licence: Code 8- (required)

Job Objectives

1. The Successful Incumbent (Toolmaker/Fitter & Turner) must be competent in reading mechanical drawings, actual planning and completion of the task as set out on the aforesaid drawing.
2. Be responsible for programming and operating the Wire Cutter, for all components to be manufactured.
3. Maintain quality as well as tolerances as stipulated for all tasks assigned and complete tasks as per project timing requirement.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

1. Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and manufacturing of all items broken down to individual components.
2. Ability to perform Wire Cutter programming and operation of the Wire Cutter machine.
3. Machine to close tolerances.
4. QC check final wire cutting components.
5. Fault finding on problem areas.
6. Work accurately and maintain deadlines of work assigned as per project requirement.
