Wine Tourism Marketing Coordinator - 2 Years Fixed Term Contract

South Africa Wine provides essential support services to the wine and brandy value chain with the vision to enable it to become more robust, transformed, agile & competitive.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team, based in Paarl, Western Cape. This role will be instrumental in the implementation of our wine tourism strategy, with a focus on digital and content marketing as well as trade relations management. Reporting to the Wine Tourism Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Website and Social Media Management
2. Content Creation and Curation
3. Travel Trade Relations
4. Brand Alignment
5. Analytics and Reporting

Requirements:

1. A relevant Degree in Marketing, Communication or an equivalent qualification.
2. 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing, campaign management or similar environment.
3. Proficiency in website management (WordPress or similar platforms) and social media marketing.
4. Strong understanding of SEO, Google Analytics and digital advertising.
5. Excellent bilingual (English and Afrikaans) written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content.
6. Knowledge of/or exposure to the South African Wine and Travel industry.
7. Strong administrative and project management skills.
8. Good planning, organizing and time management skills.
9. Strong presentation skills with experience in engaging stakeholders.
10. A positive, energetic, professional and assertive individual.
11. Ability to conduct regular trade presentations and develop itineraries.
12. Willingness to represent the brand at industry events, outside the standard office hours when required.
13. Valid driver’s license with own vehicle.
