Job Advert Summary: An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Foreman responsible for planning and organising the workload in the workshop to maximise effective manpower utilisation and cost-effective maintenance to vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Scheduling vehicle and equipment maintenance.
2. Inspecting and testing vehicles and equipment.
3. Ordering spares and components needed for maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade papers essential).
2. Valid driver's license, preferably EC.
3. Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4.
4. Up to 5 years' experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and implement the fleet maintenance programme.
2. Manage stock levels and the purchase of replacement parts and equipment.
3. Manage performance of a shift or skilled and semi-skilled artisans.
4. Manage the vehicle maintenance cost to acceptable levels.
5. Ensure successful implementation, monitoring and management of SHEQ procedures.
6. Attend to breakdowns and implement maintenance schedules.
