We are looking for an IT Support Engineer based in South Africa to join our global IT team as we continue to scale and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets. As an IT Support Engineer, you would be installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners, provisioning user support for both remote and on-premises staff, and troubleshooting and resolving issues with software or hardware in a timely manner using the available resources within the company.
About Us
We foster a culture of autonomy where one can work independently but at the same time build on their team-oriented attitudes by working with and helping other colleagues and departments. You would be walking colleagues or clients through steps to help them resolve their technical problems, responding to priority incidents and alerts via phone, in person, or electronically during and/or after office hours while maintaining procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization. Additionally, to ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems, you would be supporting the implementation of new solutions or applications, analyzing records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues.
By extension, you would be tasked with creating accounts for new users and assisting them with password or login problems. This will be a Hybrid role, working from our Johannesburg-based office in Bryanston while collaborating with colleagues both within South Africa as well as across our various global locations.
Expertise
Our expectation is that you have a working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Dynamics, Windows 11, 3cx, Freshworks, Intune, and Sophos, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a technical support role. If you have a basic understanding of Cloud and MSSQL Knowledge, coupled with Microsoft Certified IT Professional / CCNA Certifications, then you might be the right person for the role.
