What You Can Expect

The warehouse specialist must have the ability to understand and interpret complex situations, evaluate problems, and make appropriate recommendations. He / she must take ownership of responsibilities and act proactively on behalf of the customer, ensuring commitments are met.

How You'll Create Impact

1. Complete all requests systematically ensuring that the correct instrument & implants are dispatched to the customer.
2. Pick, pack, check, reserve & receive all loaner model inventory (instrument & implant sets).
3. Inspect quality of returned material / equipment.
4. Inspect expiry dates / Short dated items.
5. Systematically return all loaners following the receiving process back into the warehouse.
6. Identify and confirm returned instrument sets and implant sets on SAP as per the receiving process.
7. Ensure that all loaner instruments go through the Decontamination process upon return from customer.
8. Identify discrepancies in bookings, ensuring that corrective action takes place to minimize company risk.
9. Ensure that we adhere to all policies & processes whilst inspecting all equipment before dispatching loaners to customers and branches.
10. Pick instrument and implants sets as per the booking sheet or branch request by ensuring they are intact and in good condition to be issued.
11. Confirm picked instrument sets and implant sets on SAP according to the picking process.
12. General warehouse and other related duties as and when required.
13. Ensure compliance to SOPs and the highest standards of patient safety.
14. Be involved in stock counts and ensure that all KPI's are met.
15. Ability to receipt stock systematically and pack away (Branches).
16. Maintain good housekeeping and comply with health and safety standards.
17. Overtime and rotational shift work (This includes working nightshift as well as on weekends) as required.

What Makes You Stand Out

1. Good standard of Education.
2. Previous relevant warehouse experience.
3. Knowledge of Health and Safety.
4. Good communication skills, verbal & written.

Your Background

1. Matric, essential.
2. Diploma / Degree in logistics / warehousing will be an added advantage.
3. Related work experience, essential.
4. Product Knowledge (Medical / pharmaceutical experience ideal).
5. SAP Experience essential.
6. Excel experience essential.
7. Inventory experience will be an added advantage.

Travel Expectations

As required by Zimmer Biomet. Must hold a South African driving license.
