The warehouse specialist must have the ability to understand and interpret complex situations, evaluate problems, and make appropriate recommendations. He/she must take ownership of responsibilities and act proactively on behalf of the customer, ensuring commitments are met.
How You'll Create Impact
- To complete all requests systematically ensuring that the correct instruments & implants are dispatched to the customer.
- Pick, pack, check, reserve & receive all loaner model inventory (instrument & implant sets).
- Inspect quality of returned material/equipment.
- Inspect expiry dates/short dated items.
- Systematically return all loaners following the receiving process back into the warehouse.
- Identify and confirm returned instrument sets and implant sets on SAP as per the receiving process.
- Ensure that all loaner instruments go through the Decontamination process upon return from the customer.
- Identify discrepancies in bookings, ensuring that corrective action takes place to minimize company risk.
- Ensure that we adhere to all policies & processes whilst inspecting all equipment before dispatching loaners to customers and branches.
- Pick instrument and implant sets as per the booking sheet or branch request by ensuring they are intact and in good condition to be issued.
- Confirm picked instrument sets and implant sets on SAP according to the picking process.
- General warehouse and other related duties as and when required.
- Ensure adherence to the highest standards of patient safety by following all SOPs.
- Ensure compliance to SOPs.
- Be involved in stock counts.
- Ensure that all KPIs are met.
- Ability to receipt stock systematically and pack away (Branches).
- Comply with health and safety standards.
- Comply with all SOPs and Works Instructions.
- Overtime and rotational shift work (This includes working nightshift as well as on weekends) as required.

Your Background
- Diploma/Degree in logistics/warehousing will be an added advantage.
- Related work experience, essential.
- Product Knowledge (Medical/pharmaceutical experience ideal).
- Inventory experience will be an added advantage.
- As required by Zimmer Biomet. Must hold a South African driving license.
