Warehouse Manager - Retail Distribution Warehouse

We are looking for a driven Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of a retail distribution warehouse. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a proven track record in managing inventory, people, processes, and systems and is passionate about continuous improvement.

As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations, maximizing efficiency, and driving results through effective leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the warehouse complies with company standards and operational procedures.
2. Optimize space usage within the warehouse and strategically plan warehouse layout, routes, and deliveries.
3. Monitor and track stock levels, quality, quantity, delivery times, and efficiency metrics.
4. Provide exceptional service and support to stores and support office through clear, timely communication.
5. Manage the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods.
6. Conduct weekly cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
7. Meet and exceed cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
8. Foster effective communication within the team and across the site.
9. Lead efforts to improve staff performance including coaching, training, and development.
10. Maintain accurate staff attendance records and ensure deadlines are met consistently.
11. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.
12. Address and resolve any arising issues or complaints in a timely manner.
13. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
14. Be available on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications:

1. Matric (Grade 12) required.
2. Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Distribution (advantageous).
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager.
