Role Overview:
As a Warehouse and Delivery Specialist, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily warehouse operations and ensuring the timely distribution of products to our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing shipments, performing quality checks, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse. You will also be involved in the occasional local delivery of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction at every step.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching products.
• Perform quality checks on incoming shipments to ensure product accuracy and condition.
• Organize products efficiently within the warehouse for easy access and distribution.
• Monitor inventory levels and anticipate stock needs, coordinating with the team to ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
• Perform occasional local deliveries, ensuring prompt and safe delivery to customers.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to safety standards within the warehouse.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain records of shipments, inventory, and deliveries.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving, packing, unloading, and inventory control is an advantage.
• Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift training can be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy loads on a regular basis.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Prior delivery experience and ability to use GPS/navigation tools are a plus.
• Experience with Sage Pastel software is a bonus.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage professionally and courteously with clients.
