Job description
Job title : WaiterJob Location : Western Cape, Cape TownDeadline : April 06, 2025KEY FOCUS AREASFood and Beverage Service- Welcome guests as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including specials and promotions.
- Accurately take food and drink orders from guests and enter them into the POS system.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner.
- Ensure orders are accurate and properly presented.
- Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Address any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Clear dirty dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables.
- Reset tables for the next guests, ensuring they are clean and properly set.
- Present the bill to guests and process payments using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment accurately.
- Keep the dining area, service stations, and restrooms clean and organized.
- Always follow health and safety regulations.
General Service and Guest Care- Collect all information available on guests prior to arrival.
- Collect guest information while speaking to guests; inform the Supervisor/Head of Department and Management to record and act on guest preferences.
- Report all guest complaints to your Supervisor/Head of Department and Management immediately.
Requirements Qualifications And Skills- Knowledge of the highest level of F&B customer service in a luxury environment.
- Knowledge of wine, cocktails and other beverages served.
- Knowledge of food, cooking methods, and all menus.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of stock rotation and control.
- Knowledge of hygiene and all cleaning products used.
- Knowledge of the operation of equipment and appliances.
- Knowledge of all MORE properties and all activities offered.
- Knowledge of all departments/operations of your property.
