Role Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer with strong expertise in designing cohesive brand assets, including website interfaces, mobile experiences, social media graphics and marketing materials. The ideal candidate will understand the nuances of brand identity, the importance of a consistent look and feel using brand guidelines, and how to create designs that inspire engagement across digital platforms.

This role will require collaboration with our marketing, branding, and development teams to ensure brands are represented consistently and effectively across all channels.

Role Responsibilities

  • UI/UX Design: Design user-friendly, visually appealing interfaces for websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience across all touchpoints.
  • Brand Asset Creation: Develop brand assets that align with provided visual identity guidelines, including logos, typography, colour schemes, iconography, and design systems for use across websites, mobile apps, and other digital products.
  • Social Media Asset Design: Create compelling social media graphics, infographics, and visual content (e.g., banners, ads, posts) that align with campaign goals and resonate with target audiences across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Collaboration with the Marketing team: Work closely with marketing and content teams to develop creative solutions for campaigns, advertisements, and digital promotions that elevate brand visibility and drive user engagement.
  • Prototyping & Wireframing: Build interactive wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for digital experiences, using Figma.
  • User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, A/B testing, and usability tests to inform design decisions and improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all digital and social assets maintain consistency with the brand’s identity and voice, while adapting to platform-specific requirements.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other designers to ensure a smooth implementation of designs, from concept to execution.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Keep up with UI/UX, digital design, and social media trends to ensure our brand remains fresh and competitive.

Person Specification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing both digital interfaces and working with global brand assets, including social media content.
  • Design Tools: Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and Canva.
  • Knowledge of Web Technologies: A good understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Brand & Social Media Expertise: Demonstrated experience creating visually impactful brand and social media assets that drive engagement and follow brand guidelines.
  • Strong Understanding of UX Principles: Familiarity with user-centred design practices, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testing.
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to generate innovative ideas and creative solutions, while maintaining attention to detail and brand consistency.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, development, and product teams.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Development knowledge for platforms such as Wordpress.
  • SEO and CRO Knowledge: Familiarity with search engine optimization and conversion rate optimization practices to inform design choices.
  • Knowledge of Analytics Tools: Experience with tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar to inform data-driven design decisions.
  • Motion Graphics: Experience with motion design or animations for digital assets and social media (GIFs, videos, etc.)
