Job Description

To drive and increase sales while ensuring the required gross profit percentage, cultivating strong relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service by providing world-class itineraries that surpass guests' expectations. To effectively source, price, and present products to agents and guests with accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness by crafting inspiring luxury travel experiences. Possess extensive knowledge and a solid geographical understanding of Southern and East African destinations, as well as the day-to-day logistics of the region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain strong agent relationships, ensuring consistent communication and excellent service.
  2. Collaborate with the reservations managers on sales and relationship developments.
  3. Keep agent preferences updated and stay informed on company products and technology.
  4. Streamline operations to enhance guest experiences and reduce inefficiencies.
  5. Accurately quote and design tailored itineraries, incorporating upselling opportunities.
  6. Monitor provisional bookings and maintain profitability.
  7. Process deposit invoices, manage itinerary changes, and ensure accurate travel documents are sent to agents.

Education/Experience
  1. Matric certificate with at least standard grade math.
  2. Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality.
  3. 1-2 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry at an intermediate level.
  4. Experience in customer relationship management and promoting products/services in inbound travel.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
  6. Proven English literacy.
  7. Familiarity with TourPlan, WISH, or similar booking systems.
  8. Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  9. Knowledge of a European language is a plus.
