Transport Controller

Job Summary:

Our client in Logistics and distribution is seeking a highly organized and experienced Transport Controller to join our team at the Phoenix Industrial Park Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor trucks, driver, diesel and PODs
2. Forward planning for maintenance of trucks
3. Must have mechanical insight into trucks
4. Vehicle checklist/inspection
5. Tracking of truck
6. Completion of job cards
7. Capture loads
8. Provide diesel slips
9. Book truck loads
10. Monitor delivery to ensure on time
11. Complete delivery documents
12. Log break-downs
13. Tyre inspections

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Transport Controller role, preferably within a logistics or transportation environment
2. C-Track System knowledge
3. Experience in mechanical knowledge on trucks
4. Experience in planning for maintenance of trucks

Please note that due to the nature of the industry, it is expected to receive calls from our logistics partners after normal working hours from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: R8 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month
