INTRODUCTION:
Our client, an established and busy dealership in Durban (Upper Highway Area), is seeking to employ an experienced Motor Mechanic that is self-motivated, friendly, and hardworking. The Motor Mechanic will be filling the role of a Quality Controller / Vehicle Tester and must be able to work independently.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid South African Driver’s License.
• Senior Certificate.
• Trade Test Certificate.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years post trade certification.
• Diagnostic tool: ISTA Beneficial.

SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to take instructions and complete tasks.
• Work Independently.
• Take initiative without overstepping boundaries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to perform various tasks such as:

• Test driving vehicles with clients to ensure that clients' concerns are understood.
• Ensuring that the job card has all relevant information pertaining to the services and repairs.
• Test driving vehicles after services and repairs prior to the client collecting the vehicle.
• Test driving vehicles after services and repairs with the client (if needed).
• Electrical Diagnostics.
• Mechanical Diagnostics.
