Temp Sandblasters

NOV South Africa is seeking an experienced Temporary Sandblaster. In this role you will operate sanding pressure equipment to sandblast and may apply other industrial coatings to manufactured items. Your role will also include performing masking activities to protect areas from overspray.

Duties:

• Grind, sand, and clean surfaces of items to be painted
• Load spray equipment with paints, oils, lacquers, varnishes, and rustproofing agents
• Connect hoses to spray equipment and adjust nozzles to the required pressure
• Secure items to be sprayed within spray booths or place them onto conveyors
• Direct spray guns to apply coatings evenly
• Move coated items to drying areas and stack them for further painting and packaging
• Start, monitor, and adjust extractor fans, drying equipment, and heaters
• Clean nozzles, containers, and hoses of spray equipment
• Operate paint dipping baths as needed
• Mix coating solutions and regulate their temperature as required
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management

Qualifications:

• Qualified industrial spray painter with experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
