Purpose of Position: To manage all activities in the relevant laboratory on a daily basis to ensure that set targets and objectives are achieved and maintain high quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
• National Diploma: Biomedical Technology

Required Experience:

• Knowledge of Meditech system
• Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain laboratory to ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
• Perform general laboratory tasks to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory
• Perform special laboratory procedures to ensure timely resulting of specimens
• Receive and process specimens to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory
