Purpose of Position:
To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers/instruments in a Clinical Laboratory.

Requirements:
HPCSA registration as Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology) (Required), National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology) / BHs MLS (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences) (Required).

Required Experience:
Experience in pathology laboratory environment. Knowledge of: Google and Google Mail, Instrumentation and Methodologies, Materials Management, Meditech system, MS Excel, MS Word, Quality Control, relevant pathology test procedures, and Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.
2. Perform administration tasks to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.
3. Perform Quality Control procedures to ensure best practices are upheld.
4. Process routine bench work in the laboratory to ensure efficient processing of specimens.
5. Provide technical support within the laboratory to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting.
6. Train laboratory staff to ensure continuous development and education.
