Technician (Refridgeration)

To produce the required labour hours through maintenance and repairs of food service equipment.

POSITION INFO :

BCE is seeking a Technician to join our Johannesburg team. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, both in our service centre and at clients' sites, to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Diagnose, repair, and replace malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery to perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
• Inspect parts for defects, test repairs, and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Provide detailed reports on diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
• Deliver excellent customer service by following procedures and completing accurate documentation.
• Adhere to OHS procedures and handle tools / equipment responsibly.
• Work standby and overtime as required.

Desired Skills and Experience :

• Relevant technical qualification (degree / diploma preferred).
• 5-7 years' experience as a technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
